Mr. Egbe previously spent 2 decades in executive roles within The Coca-Cola Company, including roles as Head of Coca-Cola’s business in Africa and 8 years as Chairman of the Coca-Cola Africa Foundation (TCCAF). He also had a stint setting up, shaping and leading the Sustainability function for the 90+ countries that made up the company’s Eurasia and Africa region.
During the period when he chaired the Board of TCCAF, Mr. Egbe was an integral part of TCCAF’s partnership with the Africa-America Institute in the launch of its Transformational Leadership Program (TLP).
Prior to his tenure with Coca-Cola, Mr. Egbe worked in engineering, finance, marketing and general management roles for the Eastman Kodak Company, British Petroleum and AT&T across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
In addition to his extensive experience in operations and general management across 4 continents and in 4 industries, Mr. Egbe has broad governance and oversight expertise built from serving as non-executive director or board member for a multitude of companies and NGOs in Europe and Africa over the past 15 years. Amongst others, Mr. Egbe most recently served 5 years as a board member for Africare (in Washington, DC), and 3 years as board member for the World Economic Forum’s New Vision for Agriculture (WEF-NVA) Initiative in New York.
Mr. Egbe holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and an MBA, both from Howard University in Washington, DC.
